The 2010 Alon is a blned of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Syrah, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc
Deep dark purple in color, the wine displays prominent aromas of purple plum, mulberry, blueberry, and raspberry jam on a seasoned background of cacao, allspice and honey characters, along with a touch of mint and toasted oak. A full-bodied wine with well-balanced flavors and a pleasant, long-lasting finish.
The Alon is ready to drink now, but the wine will age well for 5-7 years from harvest. Try the wine with rich meals, and perfectly accompanies meat dishes such as leg of lamb with cream spinach, roast beef, seared sirloin, and grilled meats, and even rich chocolate deserts like truffles.
