The wine combines bright red and black fruit notes with hints of fresh herbs, spice, orange rind and earth. Aging in French oak barrels for fourteen months provides a rich backdrop to the fruit’s unique personality.
Yarden Merlot Odem Vineyard was produced from grapes grown entirely from grapes grown in the Odem Vineyard in the northern Golan Heights at an elevation of just under 1,200 meters (4,000 ft) above sea level. This Merlot planted in 1990, has been farmed organically since 1998.
