This wine was produced from grapes harvested at the base of Chalk Hill in the Alexander Valley. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, this rich and lush wine displays notes of blackberry and cassis highlighted by an oak bouquet. To retain its outstanding character, only light filtration occurred and therefore may form some sediment as it ages.
