The Carmel Limited Edition 2004 is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Petit Verdot, 17% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. The grapes were fermented and barrel aged for 16 months after which the wine was blended and aged for a further 12 months prior to bottling. The wine has a deep purple color with a bouquet of cassis, chocolate and blackcurrants. The wine has a full mouth feel, is finely balanced with strong overtones of coffee, cherry, truffle ans black cherry. While it is multi layered it maintains its excellent balance and has a long finish. Should peak about 2014.
