Borgo Reale Maturo ’10

55% Primitivo and 45% Negroamaro grapes make this unique wine, which combines the opulent velvetiness of the great northern wines with the southern warmth and earthiness. Cooked plums, then licorice, chocolate, nutmeg, and vanilla seed on the nose. The mouth feel is full-bodied with soft ripe tannins, given by the 6-months' fining in oak wood.
