Barkan Superieur Cabernet Sauvignon is justly considered as Barkan’s best wine. Individual barrels from three vineyards in the Upper Galil and the Golan Heights were selected and blended. They then underwent an additional period of aging in new oak barrels to further enhance the wine’s structure. The wine has a deep ruby brick red color. The nose is rich with aromas of cherry, black plum; and a roasted coffee, old leather, bouquet. The wine is elegant, complex, with a balanced flavour profile of ripe fruit, pronounced yet rounded tannins, and a long finish. The wine has yet to reach its full potential and will continue to develop in the bottle for several additional years.
