14 Months Barrel Aged
This wine is produced from Shiraz grapes harvested at a low yielding vineyard, perched on Terra Rossa terraces in the Judean Hills. Wine making was classic, with three weeks maceration. The wine was aged in barrels of American and French oak for 14 months. 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot were added to 93% Shiraz to enhance complexity. The wine boasts typical Shiraz notes on the nose, spicy black fruits, licorice and black pepper, with hints of violets and black olives. It is very elegant, with ripe but not jammy berry fruit overlaid with spice and minerality. While not heavy bodied, this wine is full of flavor and character.<
