As with the classic French wines of Sauternes, this wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon and has been affected by the famed botrytus “noble rot.” This rare wine is luscious and sweet and will turn a golden yellow over time. The flavor is intense and will become more complex with age. The acidity is firm enough so that the wine can be enjoyed with rich white meat and fish dishes.
Tasting notes: Pretty golden yellow color. Expressive notes of dry apricots, figs, and a sweet perfume of honey. In the mouth it is balanced with good acidity. Moderately persistent with a sweet finish.
